Volunteers needed
For years now, only two political parties have been in power in the UK- one that talks and does nothing else, another obsessed with its own benefit instead of that of its people. Both are less competent than the Monster Raving Loony Party and are less appropriate to run this country than the BNP.
This country could be so much better under a different party.
But the liberal democrats rarely do anything, and the other parties are currently far too small to challenge the might of Labour and Conservative. Not to mention that the smaller parties contain their fair share of fascists,communists and paraniod conspiracy theorists.
There seems to me to be only one solution: Form a new party and overtake the government. Admittedly, this is a hard thing to do with a voting system like first-past-the-post, but the plan I have devised makes allowances for any difficulties we should encounter. We will merge with like-minded parties to increase membership and voters, eventually joining with the green party. To get funds, we will be sponsored by environmental companies such as the co-op and the body shop, and we will launch a constant advertising campaign- not just before the general elections. We will start by getting elected in the most varied constituencies and work our wayup from there, trying to stay constantly in the attention of the press.
However, my party, the New World Party, first needs supporters. Whatever your skills, you will be useful to us. Politicians and people studying politics are of course welcome, but don't feel restricted by that- this is a matter that affects all of Britain. All that you need to be useful to me is the drive to change the world for the better. If you can give nothing but a vote in the elections, you are still important. Iff all that you can give is your moral support, if you are too young even to vote, you are still important. no matter who you are, there is still something you can do to help. Whoever you are, you can make a difference.
